Knowledge. Connection. Participation.
Meaningful community engagement begins with access to information, awareness of available resources, and opportunities to participate.
The North Carolina Center for Women’s Justice (NCCWJ) believes that women and girls should have the knowledge and opportunities necessary to engage in the decisions, institutions, and organizations that shape their lives and communities.
Our Civic Engagement Center supports that commitment by connecting North Carolinians with advocacy organizations, civic resources, and pathways to public participation. Whether exploring an issue, identifying organizations serving their communities, or learning how to engage with local and state government, individuals can use this resource as a starting point for informed and meaningful civic engagement.
Access to information is an essential step toward meaningful participation. By connecting individuals with advocacy organizations and public decision-making resources, NCCWJ seeks to strengthen civic awareness, encourage community involvement, and expand opportunities for women and girls to have a voice in the issues affecting their lives.
Our goal is a North Carolina where women and girls are informed, connected, and empowered to participate in shaping their communities.
