Jennifer L. Teague is a North Carolina nonprofit leader, educator, and advocate with more than two decades of experience spanning K–12 education, higher education, organizational leadership, and community-based advocacy. She is a co-founder of the North Carolina Center for Women’s Justice (NCCWJ), where her work has focused on advancing justice, equity, and opportunity for women and girls across North Carolina.
Teague’s career in education has included leadership and teaching roles in public schools, community colleges, and universities. Her work has emphasized educational access, student success, organizational improvement, and support for historically underserved communities. She earned a Master of School Administration from Fayetteville State University, a Master of Arts in English Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from UNC Pembroke.
Teague is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a concentration in Organizational Learning and Leadership. Her scholarly interests include higher-education access and completion, organizational systems, and the structural barriers affecting low-income student mothers.
Through her leadership and advocacy, Teague works at the intersection of education, public policy, women’s justice, and civic engagement. Her work reflects a commitment to strengthening institutions, expanding opportunity, and building systems that better serve communities across North Carolina.
