NCCWJ provides education, training, resources, and community-based programs that empower women and strengthen communities. Our programs promote educational attainment, economic mobility, health, safety, civic engagement, and social justice by connecting women with the knowledge, resources, and support they need.

The Community Connections Program links women and families with trusted community resources, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and support services throughout North Carolina.

NCCWJ helps prospective students navigate the college admissions process through FAFSA assistance, college application support, scholarship guidance, admissions planning, test preparation, and higher education advising.

NCCWJ connects survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of interpersonal violence with advocacy, community resources, victim services, and supportive referrals.

NCCWJ's Financial Literacy Program equips women with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions. Workshops cover budgeting, saving, credit, debt management, banking, and long-term financial planning to promote economic stability and financial independence.

NCCWJ's Career Development Program prepares women for employment through résumé development, interview coaching, job search assistance, networking opportunities, career exploration, and workforce readiness training.

The Food Justice Program addresses food insecurity by providing nutritious food assistance, nutrition education, community partnerships, and resources that improve access to healthy food for women and families.

NCCWJ's Civic Engagement Program encourages women to become active participants in their communities through volunteerism, community leadership, voter education, and civic participation. The program provides opportunities to develop leadership skills, engage in public service, and strengthen communities through informed and meaningful civic involvement.

NCCWJ's Advocacy Program educates and empowers women to engage in public policy, legislative advocacy, and community organizing on issues that affect their lives and communities. Through education, coalition building, and public awareness, participants learn how to advocate for equitable policies and meaningful social change.

NCCWJ's Professional Clothing Closet provides women with new and gently used professional and casual attire, shoes, handbags, and accessories. By reducing financial barriers and helping women prepare for job interviews, employment, and educational opportunities, the program supports confidence, self-sufficiency, and long-term success.

NCCWJ's Technology Safety Program educates women and girls about online privacy, digital safety, cybersecurity, social media safety, cyberstalking, identity theft prevention, and technology-facilitated abuse. Participants learn practical strategies for protecting their personal information and safely navigating digital spaces.

The Parenting Program strengthens families through evidence-informed parenting education, communication skills, child development education, and family engagement activities designed to support healthy relationships and positive outcomes for children.

NCCWJ promotes menstrual equity by distributing free menstrual hygiene products and increasing awareness of period poverty. The program helps reduce barriers to education, employment, and community participation caused by lack of access to menstrual products.
